Buzzing at Ledbury Artplace

Had a lovely bejewelled bags workshop at LA this weekend students went away with lots of ideas and enthusiasm, its nice to get the place jumpin again after the long winter gap.

i started experimenting with a new pocket to keep me gin and fags in, i call it the 'into the valley' pocket. the design is inspired by hundertwasser houses.

i stitched it up and piped the edge more to do but i will post it when finished.

this is the surface of Jamilla's bag, her first serious go at machine embroidery, the colours are fantastic.

Sheenagh's surface is very glittery the photo doesn't really do justice.

here's a couple of nearly finished ones of mine

here's one i made earlier to give you an idea of what they will look like in the end.

Ooh I'm so envious. Wish I'd been on the weekend, but life just got in the way. Some great work.

One of these days ... these are fantastic; from having attended one of your teaching sessions, I know just how much this one will have been enjoyed. A.

I love your pocket, Angie, the composition is perfection and the colours rich and sumptuous, it would make a fantastic shoulder bag too. I love the velvet (bit of a velvet nut, Stevie Nicks in her gypsy garb - amazing)
