I have been really busy with H.aRT week which was a great success, the Adhesion exhibition was really well received, so well done to all the girls we had well over 1000 visitors! I am now working hard to finish off the work for my next exhibition with Jeanette at the Weavers Gallery in Church Lane, Ledbury. This is an example of the kind of work that i am doing at the moment, it's velvet painted and discharged with foils and organza applied to the surface and lots of stitch. I've done quite a lot of new work for this show.
I must recommend the Waterways Exhibition on at the Gloucester Museum and Art Gallery until 13th October. It is an exhibition of embroidery by the Embroiderers Guild South West Region, there are pieces showing a wide range of abilities, i think that it's a really good show and well worth a visit for stitching fans.
If you didn't go to the Knitting and Stitching Show at NEC but you are visiting Ally Pally take a look at Tilleke Schwarz i know her work is not to everyone's taste but i love it and her humour.
